The Retreat Leaders Immersion 2026 | Wanderlust Entrepreneur

If you’re an experienced or emerging retreat leader called to lead transformational retreats that are aligned, sustainable, and financially supportive, join us for four days to deepen your facilitation skills, clarify your retreat vision, and gain practical strategies to bring your retreats to life.

This retreat is designed for leaders who care deeply about the people they serve and the integrity of the experiences they create.

It’s about developing the clarity, confidence, and leadership required to design retreats that truly change lives including your own.

Imagine for a moment, arriving to a peaceful place, surrounded by forests, water, and like-minded peers who truly understand the responsibility of holding transformational space.

Here you’ll have time to reflect, refine your vision, and strengthen your leadership – and connect and partner with other like-minded leaders.

This is your invitation to an exclusive adventure one that will redefine how you use retreats in your business.

So you’ve got retreats in your heart, but maybe you’re…

  • Unclear on your retreat concept but want something your ideal clients can’t wait to join
  • A bit shaky when it comes to pricing to make a proper profit
  • Concerned about holding space for groups with depth and confidence
  • Wondering what’s the best way to market your retreat these days
  • Tired of doing it all alone without mentorship or peer support

What You’ll Experience During Our Time Together

Over the course of four days together, we’ll move through a powerful progression – from reconnecting with the deeper purpose behind your retreats, to strengthening your leadership as a facilitator, to building retreats that are both meaningful and sustainable.

Each day blends teaching, experiential exercises, time in nature, and honest conversation with fellow retreat leaders who truly understand the journey.

Our Schedule

Arrival Evening

After arriving at camp and settling into your space, we’ll gather for a welcome dinner and opening circle.

This first evening is about slowing down, setting intentions, and beginning to form the supportive community that will hold our work together over the coming days.

Alignment & Vision

We begin by exploring the heart of your work as a retreat leader – why you feel called to lead, and what kind of experiences you are truly meant to create.

Together we’ll explore:

  • Aligning your retreat work with your deeper purpose
  • Clarifying your retreat theme, ideal client, and core promise
  • Identifying the transformation your retreat is designed to deliver

Throughout the day we’ll weave in experiential practices – including a vision walk in nature, reflective journaling, and meaningful group conversation—to help you move out of your head and into deeper clarity.

The day concludes with a fire ceremony, where we release doubts and old stories that may be holding you back from fully stepping into your leadership. By the end of the day, you’ll have a clear and aligned vision for the retreat you are meant to lead.

Facilitation & Leadership

On this day we focus on the art of leading groups and holding transformational space with confidence, compassion, and steadiness.

We’ll explore:

  • The foundations of powerful retreat facilitation
  • Navigating group dynamics and emotional moments
  • Creating experiential exercises that deepen transformation
  • Balancing structure and flow throughout your retreat

Through demonstrations, experiential exercises, and group reflection, you’ll gain practical tools and insights that help you feel more grounded and capable as a retreat leader.

You’ll leave the day feeling far more confident in your ability to guide meaningful group experiences as the one holding the container.

Sustainable & Filled Retreats

Many retreat leaders struggle with the business side of retreats – especially pricing, sustainability, and filling their programs. This final full day focuses on building retreats that truly support you.

Together we’ll explore:

  • Structuring and pricing retreats in a way that supports your livelihood
  • Releasing the mindset patterns that lead to underpricing
  • Using collaborations and partnerships to expand your reach
  • Relationship-based approaches to filling your retreats with integrity

By the end of the day, you’ll have a clearer strategy for creating retreats that are not only transformational – but also sustainable for the long term.

Departure Morning

Reflect, celebrate, and carry the work forward.

We’ll share breakfast together, reflect on the experience, and send you home with renewed clarity, deeper confidence, and a supportive network of retreat leaders walking this path alongside you.

Our Venue

Our home for our four days together is Olympia Sports Camp – chosen intentionally to support reflection, connection, and meaningful inner work.

Olympia offers something increasingly rare: simplicity, spaciousness, and immersion in nature. Surrounded by forests, water, and open skies, you’ll have room to walk, breathe, reflect, and reconnect with what truly matters – away from the noise, expectations, and distractions of everyday life.

Olympia is NOT a luxury resort – and intentionally so. Their modest accommodations invite us to step out of consumption and into presence. Into real conversation. Into listening – both to ourselves and to one another. Without distraction, there is space for clarity to emerge.

Rustic Comfort in Nature…

Included in your tuition are 4 nights in comfortable, clean cabins (the coaches’ family cabins) with bunk-beds, and washrooms with showers – true to the camp spirit.

Now, if the camp thing and the possibility of bugs or critters is not your vibe, no worries!

The Deerhurst Resort is right nearby, and we’re happy to run a shuttle back and forth from the hotel to the campsite. That way, if you prefer, you can have your own room and sleep on comfy beds.

Yes, there’s a separate charge to stay at the hotel, but if you’re a queen like me (this is Sheri here), it’s worth it to make yourself comfortable. Rooms at Deerhurst Hotel typically range from $299-$369 CAN a night (approximately $215-$266 USD), so staying at the hotel is very reasonable.

A heartfelt note from Sheri…

After 18 years running a successful medical practice, I realized I was spending more time in fluorescent-lit exam rooms than actually living my life. So in 1998, I hung up my white coat, sold my practice, and set out to design a business – and a life – that truly lit me up.

That journey led me to study with and manage retreats for don Miguel Ruiz, the author of The Four Agreements. Through that work, I experienced firsthand the incredible power of retreats to create deep personal transformation.

In 2003, I founded Journeys of the Spirit®, a boutique travel agency focused on transformational travel and destination retreats. Since then, our team has helped plan and manage more than 1,000 retreats around the world.

Along the way, I noticed something important: retreat leaders are incredible at guiding transformation – but many struggle with the practical side of retreats, like pricing, marketing, and protecting their work legally.

That’s why I founded Wanderlust Entrepreneur in 2014. Since then, we’ve supported more than 25,000 coaches, healers, and heart-centered entrepreneurs in designing, pricing, promoting, and profiting from meaningful retreats.

It’s truly an honor to share what I’ve learned over the past two decades – and I’m excited to spend this time with you.

With love,
Sheri Rosenthal

From Mark’s Heart to Yours…

Over the past six years, my wife, Renee, and I have had the honor of hosting six Soulful Leadership Retreats – each one generating over $100,000 in revenue while creating immeasurable impact in the lives of those who attended.

These retreats weren’t just about profit – they were about purpose – about gathering visionaries, change makers, and community builders in a sacred container where deep transformation could unfold.

We’ve also led intimate MetaMind retreats where just 10–15 of us shared a mansion, cooked together, dreamed together, and went deep into the work that truly matters.

These were not just business breakthroughs – they were breakthroughs in relationships, self-leadership, and aligned purpose.

That’s why I’m so excited about this very special Retreat Leaders Immersion. It’s more than an event.

It’s a call to gather with purpose-driven retreat leaders like you, in a place where transformation is not just possible – it’s inevitable.

I would be honored to spend these days with you, to walk beside you as you design the kind of retreat experience that not only changes lives but also sustains your mission and fuels your vision for years to come.

With deep gratitude,
Mark Porteous

Frequently Asked Questions

Where and when do I fly in?

Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ) is the correct airport to fly into!

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

Yes, we’re happy to! Please clearly state any allergies and intolerances you have, along with your dietary preferences on our trip forms when we send them to you. If the list of things you can’t eat is long, we may ask you for a list of things you can eat instead.

If 5 people are in a room, how you are matching folks?

If you would like to be matched with a specific roommate, please let us know. Basically women will be rooming together and men will be rooming together. 🙂

How fit do I need to be for this trip?

There are physical activities at the camp if you like – but it’s all quite leisurely. Expect to be doing a bit of walking, but no mountain climbing!!

Do I need travel insurance?

We definitely recommend it these days!

What is the weather like?

The end of August in Muskoka, Ontario, offers pleasant, warm summer weather, with average daytime highs around 75-79°F (24-26°C) and cooler nights around 57-63°F (14-17°C), though it’s a transition month with a chance for some rain, making it ideal for enjoying the lakes before fall truly sets in, but pack a light jacket for evenings.

Can you share EXACTLY what we're doing every day?

The EXACT actual schedule and what we’ll be doing day to day is not published so we can be in the moment. Every day will be a magical experience for all of us, so keep your heart and mind open to the experience life brings us.

What do I pack?

Plan for comfortable, casual and laid back. You will not be needing anything dressy, so leave those beautiful stilettos and stylish tuxedos at home.

Think layers as you plan what to bring. Mornings and evenings can be cooler, while the days can be are warm. Dressing in layers is also a good way to protect yourself from the sun. You’ll want a bathing suit without a doubt and a cover up!!!

Once you decide to join us, we’ll provide a more detailed list of what to bring and what not to bring.

How can I offset the impact of my traveling by plane?

You can purchase “carbon offsets” for your trip to neutralize your carbon footprint if you like!

Will I have access to the Internet?

Yes, you will be able to stay connected with your loved ones. Wifi is available but don’t expect high-speed anything!

That being said, the more you can disconnect from your life back home, the better the impact of your experience, so please plan to be “off the grid” as much as possible.

What about COVID-19, RSV and the Flu?

Your safety and wellbeing are very important to us! The best way to avoid ruining your trip once you arrive is to wear an N95 mask in the airports while you are traveling! At the time of this writing there are no requirements for vaccinations or masks on this retreat.
