Most folks when they think of Peru – immediately think of Machu Picchu and running a retreat to the highlands. But the Amazon spends plenty of time in Peru and you can easily combine traveling to both locations in one stunning journey.
A couple of years ago I ran a retreat at a beautiful and rustic (yet luxurious) place called Aqua Nicaragua. What most people don’t know is that right now the Nicaraguan government is actually more stable than Costa Rica’s in many ways, and although it had a bad reputation years ago – that is truly a thing of the past now.
I love finding unusual experiences and fascinating locations for holding retreats and I have to say that this week’s pick has me fascinated! Located 17 miles from the coast of North Queensland, Lizard Island is a national park with 24 sandy beaches and an awesome lagoon on the Great Barrier Reef.
