Normally when folks think of doing a retreat they automatically think of a retreat center – or a small hotel. But today I want to show you how you can rent a luxury villa and create an outrageous event! I’ve chosen to highlight a beautiful villa on the Mayan Riviera in Puerto Aventuras which is just south of Playa del Carmen (but north of Tulum) just one hour south of the Cancun airport.
For some reason when folks think of doing a retreat in Europe – Tuscany is always top on the list. But there are other stunning food and wine locations that definitely give Italy a run for it’s money. And one of those locations is the Alentejo area of Portugal.
Most folks when they think of Peru – immediately think of Machu Picchu and running a retreat to the highlands. But the Amazon spends plenty of time in Peru and you can easily combine traveling to both locations in one stunning journey.
A couple of years ago I ran a retreat at a beautiful and rustic (yet luxurious) place called Aqua Nicaragua. What most people don’t know is that right now the Nicaraguan government is actually more stable than Costa Rica’s in many ways, and although it had a bad reputation years ago – that is truly a thing of the past now.
