My 1st retreat is on the beautiful island of Maui focusing on connecting with spirit/Angels, using Feng Shui elements for balance and living a more vacation-like lifestyle.

Some of the unique activities include a Full Moon Maui mythology bonfire and ‘ava ceremony, Road to Hana hikes to waterfalls and sacred places, and connecting physically with the elements of earth, water, fire, metal and wood.

      Hi Sheri,
Great video with lots of food for thought. I have a cruise going out in September to the Bahamas for 4 nights. We have one whole day on the boat where I plan on doing my wellness Qi Gong Empowerment breathing and I use a group EMDR technique to “shed your secret contracts”. I would like to do this as a couples retreat. However, you are definitely giving me food for thought about creating something much better.

I would love to host a women’s only kayaking retreat in the Bahamas and the twist would be that we would be camping and preparing our own meals. I have done this myself years ago with a boyfriend who owns an adventure outfitting company.

Another idea I have is chartering a large sailboat somewhere off the coast of BC where aspiring authors & artists stay for a week. There would be guest authors, hopefully Canadian and inspiring local artists to run sessions to help clients with their craft. I could also work it in that there would be chefs Making fabulous food for the clients who are aspiring chefs themselves.

As world traveler I want to give other women the opportunity to see first hand what solo traveling is about by spending a couple of weeks exploring a country. The intention is not only to teach them about logistics and how to go about moving around in a different country but empower them to take the risk and go for it after they go home. Having them interact with locals, sharing their culture, opening their minds and heart to respect and appreciate diversity instead of being scared of the unknown.

Your video and passion has awoken more in me to that dream. Lately I have been in collaboration with a friend whereby we are introducing Music with Painting in different aspects. Why not a place of music as well as painting beauty. Awaken the right side of the brain for a full, creative and healthy life. Vienna perhaps could be spot.

Quilting retreat on the Murray River. I could offer a minibus tour of river floodplain with professional tour guide, to first get inspiration and take photos. I can have a range of artists and quilters guest speak about river inspiration and their art. Followed by two days of working on our designs and quilt construction under my teaching. All the while staying on the river and enjoying our food/wine which our town is known for.

This year will see me completing 2 different trauma healing modalities and I’m also a Family Constellations Facilitator. I have a deep and beautiful retreat planned where I have a Hawaiian Bodywork last coming who also cooks the most amazing soul food. My participants will experience a shamanic drum healing, a family constellations afternoon looking at the divine feminine/masculine balance, a Hawaiian bodywork session, and a guided meditation called “Remember Me” around reconnecting with your body. Also a trauma release exercise session, so lots of somatic healing. Inside this 4 day retreat there is one day of silence also where participants go about their experiences but do not talk.
I’d like to hold the first couple of retreats here in New Zealand in a rented air bnb beautiful quite location and then look to take it abroad. I’m not sure how location would enhance these retreats other than being somewhere very quiet or a deeply spiritual place such as a Buddhist monastery or a temple connected to higher self persuits. We have a Buddhist monastery in a main centre, however I think it’s more important to be able to hold the space as it needs to be rather than be shaped by the requirements of the in-house Buddhist monks.
I feel I have a really awesome retreat planned however I’m wide open to tweak it and look at how to make it AMAZING AMAZING which is why I’m looking forward to your webinars.

Pregnancy couples retreats on the Big Island of Hawaii focusing on connecting to their unborn baby and preparing for a natural chiildbirth. Creating songs, poems, massaging one another, belly paintings, sound creations, swimming with wild dolphins and fun interactive tools like a balloon and ping pong ball to demonstrate effacement and dilation in childbirth.

This sounds very experiential Kim – I like the idea. The more tangible benefits the better it will sell. Good job angel!

    Wow so many great ideas.
I’m looking at a retreat that would be a space for people to trust themselves to fully express their creativity.
Venue TBA and would be in a natural environment where there would be walking and being immersed in the natural environment, observational drawing and then make their own dry point etching to take home.
Having the theme being creativity I think incorporating a cooking experience and also environmental sculpture activity. seed has been planted and I’m sure I’ll have more to add.

I’m taking a group to Portugal in sept 2019. Finding their sacred self and visiting castles and sacred places! I’m just in the beginnings of the theme! Any thoughts to make it stand out?

Exciting, Stephanie! As for your theme, it should be something that’s focused on helping your ideal client solve her most pressing questions and problems. The more directly you can gear it toward specific and lasting, down-to-earth benefits, the more powerful it will be!

My retreat idea is more about healing. I am an energy worker who helps women heal from emotional blocks, negative thinking and limiting beliefs so that they have the health, build the relationships and find their passion.
I teach about the Chakras, meditation and numerous emotional hacks to help them speed through those blocks.
I have a hard time coming up with a location to match. What suggestions might you all have?

Jen it’s really about connecting with the mythologies of all the different locations worldwide and how what you are teaching can be supported by those mythologies. In the webinar I give an example of this – I think it will help you. Keep in mind that there are many spiritual locations worldwide that would work well with teaching about the chakras.

I’m a professional songwriter, artist manager, speaker/workshop presenter who authored a book about my journey from wife, mother & teacher to signing a publishing deal with one of the most successful record labels in the music industry. Have been doing workshops with songwriters for years but recently expanded my audience to include anyone who has dreams & goals they want to achieve. I teach the principals through my story and I’m looking to either branch out and do workshops with other retreat organizers or do small retreats on how to define and pursue what you want to transform your life. Would love any ideas for out of the box activities (besides writing songs and creating a journal which we do).

First step Julie is getting 100% clear on who you want to work with and how you want to help them. I sense that you are in the process of re-inventing yourself and what you do – let’s see where this all takes you!

We have a beautiful retreat center up in the Sequoia National Park area where our 2000 sq. ft. deck overlooks the forest. We want to do a yoga retreat out on the deck and experience the openness and beauty surrounding us. We will also include a nature hike to the Trail of 100 Giants to witness the majesty of these great trees. Included on the property is an awesome outdoor hot tub under the diamond lit night sky, a Finlandia Sauna and massage studio for the ultimate pampering and bonding time. Including a vegetarian menu with unlimited organic teas and fresh juices.

    OMG – I love you!
One idea that I am noodling on – and not sure of the location would be to have women experience first-hand the 5 Elements of Earth, Air, Water, Fire, and Spirit during a 7-day retreat. Earth would be working in the soil, Water would be visiting beautiful waterfalls and having a grief ceremony. Spirit would be a pampering spa day. There would also be a day for reflection and integration, and the last day would be brainstorming on ways to keep the insights and transformations alive day-to-day.
The other idea is to take a group to Namibia and experience conservation of animal species and healthy economics at the Cheetah Conservation Fund. There we would learn about endangered species, why they are important, how ecosystems need each and every little piece. Meeting orphaned and rehabilitating cheetahs, working on the small farm and goat-milk soap kitchen, visiting neighboring farmers, and experiencing how solving someone else’s problem could very well be the answer to solving your own. Seeing how one woman’s love and dedication was able to become the gold standard in species conservation amidst any obstacles would also give participants inspiration for their own dreams.

I would like to take a group of people to Cape Town and surrounds to experience the sights and sounds of the country whilst teaching them about cognitive decline, stress , anxiety. Remembering the beautiful things they have experienced one Table Mountain , at a vineyard in Stellenbosch, at an upmarket spa in Stellenbosch, getting up close and personal with rescued elephants.

Those are beautiful locations and Cape Town has so much to offer. Creating some activities at those sites would go a long way to making the retreat special!

We have purchased 20 acres of largely forest within a Caldera, Australia. Known as quite a spiritual area. Our idea is to create a space where people can reconnect with the simple life (get off the treadmill for a few days), nature, ourselves and our direction. I’d like to run retreats that promote reconnecting and transforming. This would likely include meditation, spiritual practices (including climbing the mountain), transformation activities and tools that the work through not simply are provided with, bushwalking, possibly dancing or drumming lessons. Would also offer coaching and group work. Early days, from your amazing wisdom and comments above – I think I need to connect content and property more. We have called the property “Yirah” – to be in awe and with the devine.

We also travel a lot to India, I’d love to do a retreat – to challenge how we live and our expectations, broaden perspectives, connect to life and spiritual practice.

Thinking about doing an experiential retreat focusing on health and nutrition, with a gourmet cooking element, located on the Crystal Coast of North Carolina. I am a health and life coach, as well as a lover of good food, so want to show people you don’t need to sacrifice enjoyable eating to get healthy nutrition.

Very nice Charles! It is a lovely area – the key is to get creative with your activities while make sure there is a lesson in them so it aligns with what you are teaching. 🙂
